    Franz Bunke (1857 Schwaan to 1939 Weimar), since 1871 drawing classes at the Rostock painter Paul Tischbein and from 1874 at Theodor Rogge, visiting the vocational school, from 1878 briefly studied at the Academy of Arts in Berlin and still in the same year change to the Weimar Saxon-Grand Ducal Art school, 1882-84 master student of Theodor Hagen, from 1886 teacher of landscape painting, 1892 co-founder of the artists' colony Schwaan 1910 awarding the title of professor by Wilhelm Ernst of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, 1903-14 participation in exhibitions Munich glass Palace.
