    Franz Holper was a German landscape painter and architect born in Meiningen in 1862. They studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich and later worked as a building councilor in Munich. In 1901, they were dismissed due to health reasons and moved to Davos, where they turned to painting and mounted exhibitions. After World War I, they were active in Aßling and eventually settled in Großkarolinenfeld. They were a member of the Munich artists' cooperative.
