    Franz O. Richard Huth was a German watercolor painter and pastel draftsman born in 1876 in Pößneck, Thuringia. He initially trained as a porcelain painter with his father Louis Huth and later worked as a glass painter in the Riesengebirge. He studied at the Dresden School of Applied Arts and went on study trips through northern Italy, southern France, and Switzerland. He worked at the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin and established a porcelain factory in Heidelberg. He was active in Weimar from 1922 and was appointed professor in 1946. He mainly painted landscapes, church and castle interiors. He was a member of various associations of visual artists in Germany and later in the GDR. He died in 1970 in Weimar...
