    German-Austrian artist Franz Kienmayer as born in 1886 in Vienna.


    Kienmayer was a painter, draftsman, craftsman and illustrator. He studied at the Academy in Vienna with Delug and in Leipzig. He started his military service in 1916 as a war painter of the art group of the k.u.k.


    He had stays in Bukowina and Suta near Muereasca, then worked in Vienna, Predlitz-Turrach and Graz. Kienmayer worked until 1942 as a professor in Leipzig. Starting in 1931 he was a member of the Leipzig Masonic Lodge "Apollo". In 1926 he made extensive trips to East Asia to Japan.
