    Franz Xaver Unterseher was born in 1888. He was a German painter, and graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Munich. He studied at the Academy and the Polytechnic there, graduating with the state examination as an art teacher.

    After two years of teaching, he devoted himself entirely to painting. After his military service in the First World War, he was again working as a teacher at various institutions.

    Unterseher created mainly landscapes, portraits, and still life with flowers. He was also active in applied arts.
