About Frederick Heidel

    Frederick H. Heidel was born on Dec. 29, 1915. Heidel earnedhis M.F.A. at the Art Institute of Chicago. He was a resident of Long Beach in the 1940s.

    By the 1960s he was teaching art at Portland (Oregon) State College. He died there on Jan. 21, 2000.

    Exhibited: California Watercolor Society, 1946-49; San Francisco Museum of Art, 1947, 1949 (solo); Oakland Museum, 1950; Oregon State Fair, 1957-59.
