    Frederick Vincent Ellis (Halifax, England, 5 February 1892 – Lower Hutt, New Zealand, 8 November 1961) was a British-born New Zealand artist, educator, and stained glass designer whose work contributed significantly to New Zealand’s ecclesiastical and commemorative art.

    He is best known for his stained glass windows, including:

    the war memorial windows in the Auckland War Memorial Museum

    the World War I memorial window in the Hunter Building of Victoria University of Wellington

    commissions for the First Presbyterian Church, Dunedin, and Timaru Boys' High School
