Fredrik Ahlstedt was a Finnish visual artist known for his landscape, marine, and portrait painting. He studied in Åbo under R. W. Ekman before continuing his training at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm and later in Düsseldorf. Ahlstedt married the artist Nina Ahlstedt, and together they became part of the circle around Victor Westerholm and the artist colony at Önningeby on Åland.

For a period, Ahlstedt worked as a teacher and principal at the Finnish Art Society’s drawing school in Helsinki, and he also taught at the University of Helsinki.
