    German porcelain, animal and landscape painter Friedrich Reimann was born in 1896 in Mariaschein / Bohemia.


    Reimann was a resident in Zeulenroda from 1908. He trained as a porcelain painter in the Schilde porcelain factory in Roschütz near Gera. He took an apprenticeship for decoration painting in Zeulenroda.


    Reimann went to evening school with Prof Hugo Dealer in Berlin, and then from 1920-22 he attended the Dresden Academy of Applied Arts with Carl Rade and PE Zschiesche.


    Starting in 1935 he went on regular hunting and study visits to Count Arnim-Boitzenburg in the Uckermark.


    Fom 1942-46 he was in military service and captivity.
