    Fritz Bergen is known as a German painter, draftsman, graphic artist and illustrator. Bergen studied at the Leipzig Academy from 1877-79, and then became a resident in Munich beginning in 1879. Bergen also studied at the Munich Academy from 1879-82. He temporarily worked in Dachau and Stuttgart, was one of the busiest German illustrators around 1900, and worked for numerous magazines such as "Die Gartenlaube, the" Illustrierte Zeitung "," Vom Fels zum Meer "," Neuer Deutscher Jugendfreund "and" Töchteralbum "....
