    Fritz Huhnen was an artist who began an apprenticeship as an architect in 1911. He was a member of the groups "Das Junge Rheinland" and "Rheinische Sezession". During World War I, he served as a soldier and war painter. He became a member of the Munich artists' association "Neue Gruppe" in 1947. In 1961, he received the Thorn-Prikker plaque of honor from the city of Krefeld
