    Georg Wolf, the German landscape and animal painter, was born in Alsace. The painter began his artistic studies at the School of Applied Arts in Strasbourg. He later studied at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf with the animal painter Julius Paul Junghanns.

    In the 1930s, Wolf found in the Lüneburg Heath with the German heaths his favorite subjects for landscape and animal paintings. After his wife's death he moved in 1944 from Düsseldorf to the city of Uelzen at the Lüneburg Heath, where he spent the rest of his life. (fea)

    George Wolf is an animal painter and graphic artist. He was a student at the Strasbourg School of Applied Arts. After a longer stay in Munich, he studied at the Düsseldorf Academy under JP Junghans.
