    George Frederick Castleden biographical photo
    Coming from England to Canada in 1888, George Castleden later migrated to the United States where he traveled as a scenic painter. In 1911, he visited New Orleans and returned several years later, staying until 1936 when he moved to Charleston, South Carolina.

    He was noted for his French Quarter Courtyards.
