  • Biography

The British sculptor George Frampton was part of the 'New Sculpture' movement that came up in England in the late 19th century. Its followers revived the naturalistic style and concentrated on the development of liveliness and vitality in sculpture. A large part of Frampton's work shows busts and sculptures of famous personalities, such as the Queen Victoria herself. One of his most popular works in public space is the bronze of the novel character Peter Pan from 1912 that is located in the Kensington Gardens in London. (cbo)
