    Born 1893

    Georges- Pierre Guinegault was born in Rennes, France on March 27, 1893. As a 19-year-old boy he began his fine art studies at l'Ecole des Beaux Arts* in Paris.

    Beginning in 1920 he exhibited at the Paris salons.

    He became a member of the Société des Artistes Français* and exhibited extensively with this group.

    Guinegault painted many Orientalist* scenes, but is best known for his paintings of women. He painted seductive nudes and portraits of fashionable ingénues. His style is very similar to the works of Jean-Gabriel Domergue, and his signature is also similar.
