Georgina Lara was also known as Edwina Lara, variously signing her works 'E Lara' and 'G Lara'.
Lara's output consists almost exclusively of bustling village scenes, occupied by rustic figures, and clearly heavily inspired by the work of 16th- and 17th-century Dutch artists, such as Pieter Bruegel the Elder (c.1525/30-1569) and Jan Steen (1626-1679).
