    Education:
    BS, University of Wisconsin (1949)
    MFA, University of Iowa, (1950)
    He further studied at the University of Illinois, Indiana University, Oxford University in England, and independent study/research at the British Museum, London.

    Boyce began working for the University of Indianapolis in 1950 as an adjunct faculty member in the Art Department. He was full professor in the Art Department upon his retirement from the University.

    He taught at Fresno State during the summer of 1951, and was an adjunct faculty member at DePauw and Indiana Universities. He led several student trips to Europe.
