Gideon (Gidi) Rubin, a painter born in Israel in 1973, is known for his realist style paintings featuring faceless figures with blurred facial features. After experiencing the 9/11 tragedy in New York, Rubin's painting style underwent a significant change, leading to a focus on facelessness in his works. He holds a bachelor's degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York and a master's degree from the Slade School of Fine Art in London.
