Giles Alexander was selected as a finalist in the 2010 Archibald Prize. He is currently completing his Masters in Painting at the National Art School (NAS), where he previously earned first class honours in Painting in 2006 and teaches as a sessional lecturer.

Encouraged to extend his creative abilities by his architect father, Alexander won a prestigious 5-year art scholarship to Bishop's Stortford College in 1988 and subsequently went on to study art, photography and design at several British art institutes including Central Saint Martins in London.
