In large work cycles as example Tentativo di esistenza (Attempt of existence) he deals with the human body and its existence. He developed this work in 1992 from a special, complex technique in which he printed his own body on the sooted image surface out of resin, mixed with coquina powder. Thus the resulting works achieve an intense presence, often reminiscent of radiographs. Today Giovanni Manfredini lives and works in Bologna and Milan.
