    Glen Loates, R.C.A, master artist, began his professional career at age 11 when he sketched and modeled the yellow daffodil, used by the Canadian Cancer Society as its symbol for more than forty years. The subject of magazine articles, three books, three films and numerous interviews, Loates has been honored nationally and internationally including special commissions, and invitations to join scientific expeditions.

    Glen Loates is an artist who paints a variety of subjects. He uses "Prismacolor" pencils, watercolors, oils and pastels for his paintings and drawings including animals and birds in natural environments.
