    Guily Joffrin was born in Paris 30 July 1909. She also went by the name Guily-Joffrin.

    Joffrin first entered the École Supérieure Sophie-Germain, Then in 1928 at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the studio of Lucien Simon, she worked there for several years alongside Rhoner, Humblot, Jacques Despierre, Lucien Fontanarosa.

    She achieved there diplomas of professor of drawing of the city of Paris and the State which she passed successfully.

    She taught in Paris, Aurillac and the Normal School of this city. In 1945, she left teaching to devote herself solely to her career as a painter and illustrator.
