    Günter Horlbeck 1927 Reichenbach (Vogtland) - 2016 Leipzig German painter and graphic artist. Completed a lithography apprenticeship in 1942-47, which was interrupted by military service. He then studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig until 1951. He then worked as a freelance artist. Taught at the HfBK Dresden from 1952-93. His works can be categorized as abstract expressionism. His role models were Beckmann, Picasso, and Kandinsky.
