    Hans Schroers, born in 1903 in Düsseldorf, Germany, was a German painter and graphic artist. He studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Willy Spatz and Franz Kiederich, eventually becoming Kiederich's master student. Schroers was a member of the Rhenish Secession and associated with the circle around Mother Ey. In 1935, he worked in the artist colony Kronenburg in the Eifel region. He traveled to Italy in 1952 with a grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and was active as a board member of the Düsseldorfer Malkasten. Schroers had group and individual exhibitions in various galleries, including a solo exhibition in Oberhausen Castle. After his death in 1969, the Düsseldorfer Malkasten organized exhibitions in his honor in 1970, 1...
