About Heiner Malkowsky

  • Biography

    Heiner Malkowsky studied at the School of Applied Arts in Magdeburg and at the art school in Hanover under Fritz Burger-Mühlfeld. He devoted himself to a formally reduced manner of painting and spent his entire life working as an artist in Hannover.

    In 1949, he was awarded the first prize in the competition 'Junge Kunst in Niedersachsen'. In 1950, he took part in the exhibition '30 junge deutsche Maler' and the spring exhibition of the Hanover art associations.

    Malkowsky was also a member of the 'Kestner-Gesellschaft', one of the most prestigious art associations in Europe....
