    Heinrich Adolf Rode, German portrait and landscape painter, was born in 1906 in Hamburg.


    He started painting lessons in 1919. From 1922-1926 Rode was a student of the Hamburg School of Arts and Crafts with Julius Wohlers and Arthur Illies. In 1928 he took a study trip to Italy and in 1931 to Hungary.


    In 1930 he was a member of the Hamburgischer Künstlerverein and the Hamburgischen Künstlerlenschaft.


    In 1937 Rode was a scholarship holder of the Edwin Amsinck Foundation. He made regular trips to Hungary and France.


    He participated in the exhibitions of the Hamburger Kunstverein, active in Hamburg.


    Heinrich Rode passed away in 1983.
