    A native of Lower Saxony, Heinrich Weber studied from 1871with Wilhelm von Kaulbach at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Wilhelm von Diez, whose students also included Franz Marc, Max Slevogt and Wilhelm Trübner. Weber became a master of genre and portrait painting. His subjects - in addition to character heads and interiors, especially scenes of everyday life of the Upper Bavarian citizens - were received well by the audience. As early as 1873 his works were admired at exhibitions in Berlin, Dresden, Munich and Vienna.

    His works are today among others, at the Neue Pinakothek, Munich.
