    Henri-Claudius Forestier was born in 1875. Henri-Claudius Forestier was a Swiss poster artist who studied at the École des arts industriels alongside Édouard Vallet and Jules Fontanez under Alfred Martin. Forestier worked at the Tynaire studio in Paris for many illustrators, including Louis Dunki.

    Forestier was the first true Swiss poster artist working in the Art Nouveau style. In 1910, Forestier produced a poster for the famous cabaret singer Yvette Guilbert, which helped establish his reputation.

    Artist Henri-Claudius Forestier passed away in 1922.
