    An important Canadian Inuit sculptor, carver, and printmaker, Henry Napartuk (disc number* E9-1652) was born in Kuujjuarapik, Nunavik, Quebec (on the east coast of Hudson Bay) and appears to have lived his entire life there and died there. His works have been featured in numerous Canadian and international exhibitions including the landmark “Sculpture of the Inuit: Masterworks of the Canadian Arctic,”* which showed at the British Museum and elsewhere. His works are in the permanent collections of many major museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Canadian Museum of History (National Capital Region), and the National Museu...
