    Hermann Erbe-Vogel, is actually Hermann Vogel. He was a painter and graphic artist, born in 1907.

    The artist moved with his parents to Nuremberg, and from 1926-29, he visited the art school at Max grains. From 1929-31, he studied at the Art Academy in Berlin under Emil Orlik.

    From 1931-32, the artist visited the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1932-34, he studied at the Academy of fine Arts in Munich under Karl Caspar. In 1934, the artist and his future wife, Hermine van Hees, went to Frauenau.
