Biography
Hermann Teuber 1894 Dresden - 1985 Munich 1919-22 studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Dresden under Georg Erler and 1922-26 at the Vereinigte Staatsschulen für freie und angewandte Kunst in Berlin-Charlottenburg under Hans Meid and Karl Hofer. After graduating, Teuber, who worked as a freelance artist from 1926, received numerous awards, including the medal of the Prussian Ministry of Culture and the Albrecht Dürer Prize in Nuremberg. This was followed by a six-month stay in France. Member of the Deutscher Künstlerbund and between 1935 and 1945 of the Berlin studio community Klosterstraße. During the National Socialist era, Teuber was a member of the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts. He took part in over forty exhibitions. Nevertheless...
