He has opened three educational art institutions in northern Ghana and his solo exhibition Lazarus was staged at White Cube, Bermondsey in 2021. Mahama's vast sack forms have been installed over a variety of buildings in Ghana and have been exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale in 2015 and Documenta 14 in 2017
