She studied at the Technical School 1916–1917 and at Althin's and Wilhelmson's painting schools 1917–1919 as well as at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts 1919–1922 and through self-study during trips in Europe and North Africa and during longer stays in Rome and Paris.
