    Jacek Sempolinski lived from 1927 to 2012- painter, illustrator, teacher, critic and essayist. In the years 1943-1944 he learned painting at the underground school named after Konrad Krzyzanowski in Warsaw. After the war, he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under the direction of m.in. Eugene Eibisch (1946-1951, diploma 1956). From 1956 he works as a teacher at his alma mater. Initially, next to easel painting, he designed scenery and fresco.
