    Jack Lee McLean was a painter and a commercial artist known for his dramatic cowboy and western themed paintings. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and died in Driggs, Idaho, a town in the Teton Valley (three miles from the border with Wyoming), where he'd had a home since 1981. [1]

    His primary mediums were oil on board and oil on canvas; however, several of his paintings have been reproduced as popular limited edition prints. His subjects are cowboys, Indians, horses, cattle, ranch life, wild animals (cougars, bears, moose, etc.), landscape, portraits, genre and the Rocky Mountains. His style is Realism*.
