    Jakob Weidemanns debut and breakthrough came when he held a solo exhibition at Blomqvist Kunsthandel in 1946. Twenty years later he painted "The first flowers," a motif in his abstract idiom.

    1966 was an important year for Jakob Weidemann, where he was involved in several important exhibitions internationally. Weidemann represented Norway at the Venice Biennial, participating in the exhibition "reality Nouvelle" in Paris and exhibiting in Stadshaussal, Muenster and Märkisches Museum Witten.
