He is also one the most significant promoters of Czech constructivism alongside Zdenek Sýkora, Karel Malich and Hugo Demartin. Kubicek substantially influenced Czech post-war art several times. At the turn of the 1960's his paintings were an antithesis to the 'dark' tones of structural abstraction.
