    1940 Krakow - 2017 Krakow He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics in the studio of Adam Marczynski. He received a diploma with honors in 1967.

    He was a full professor at his alma mater. He exhibited from 1968, among others in New York. Most of his paintings are made of rhombuses and rectangles.

    The main objects of Janusz Orbitowski's interests were: space, light, movement and their mutual relations. Relief has been an important means of expression for the painter since 1970.
