    Victor-Jean Vincent Adam, French historical and genre painter and lithographer (1801 to 1866 Viroflay Paris), comes from an old family of artists. He was a pupil of his father Jean Adam, and from 1814-18 studied at the Paris Academy in Meynier and Baron Régnault.

    In 1819 he had an exhibition debut at the Paris Salon and then did productions of battle scenes for the museum in the Palace of Versailles. In 1844, he completed his first lithographic album and then worked almost exclusively as a lithographer. He has received numerous awards.
