Jennifer Steinkamp was born in Denver and lives and works in Los Angeles. Best known for her video-based installations, Ms. Steinkamp uses video and new media in order to explore ideas about architectural space, motion, and phenomenological perception. She is Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Design/Media Art Department at the University of California, Los Angeles.
