Jim Prindiville studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, The American Academy of Art and the Illinois Institute of Design. He has been a professional, full-time fine artist for over 30 years.

With his first painting trip through the West and Southwest in 1968, he was stirred by the land and the people. His experiences were translated into fresh, new subject matter that would ultimately change his life and artistic direction.

Captivated by the rich and varied imagery of the region, he began to incorporate the drama of the West and Southwest into his work.
