    In 1926 Joaquín Peinado, was in Amsterdam to participate in the creation of the sets for the work directed by Buñuel; "The altarpiece of Maese Pedro", by the composer Manuel de Falla. The relationship with the surrealist filmmaker had begun in 1923, when Peinado moved to Paris. During his stay in the French capital, he made contact with the group of Spaniards, especially with Picasso, who was a great influence for the artist during this time. An example of this is this work of cubist inspiration, which bears certain similarities with the still life, made the same year and belongs to the collection of the Valle Ortí Gallery in Valencia.
