About Johannes Hegner

    Hans Hegner, who also used the pseudonym "H. Coreli" in its old master copies, was a German painter, graphic artist and restorer (1924 Plauen/ Vogtland to 1979 Plauen).

    His first apprenticeship was as a decorative painter, studied 1951 - 55 at Erich Fraaß, Rudolf Bergander and Hans Grundig at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, from 1953 member of the Association of Fine Artists (VBK) of the GDR, went on study trips to Bulgaria, Poland and the Soviet Union, working freelance in Plauen.
