About John Arthur Fraser

    John Arthur Fraser RCA, OSA, ASPWC, SCA, NYWC, AWCS (AKA: J.A. Fraser, AKA: J.A. Frazer) was a very important 19th-century Canadian painter, photographer, illustrator, printmaker, educator and leader in the artist community. He was a founder of the Ontario Society of Artists [1] and a charter member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts[1]. Virtually every Canadian art history book discuses his work, and examples of it are in most Canadian museums.
