    Josep Verdaguer was a Spanish painter and muralist who began his training in a secular school in a working-class neighborhood. He entered the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts in 1941 and later traveled to Madrid and Paris to further his training. Verdaguer made his debut at the Galeria Condal in Barcelona in 1947 and held exhibitions in various countries.

    He began his work as a muralist in 1956 and painted murals in the parish church of Sant Andreu del Palomar. Verdaguer was awarded the Gold Medal of the District of Sant Andreu in 1973 and the Barcelona Gold Medal in 2001. He is represented in various private collections and has several murals in churches and public buildings throughout Catalonia.
