    Joseph-Félix Bouchor was a student at Paris, and exhibited in 1878 at the Salon des Artistes Français, but from time to time he used part of the studio of the painter Antonio de La Gandara, rue Monsieur-le-Prince in Paris. He exhibited at the Rouen National and Colonial Exhibition in 1892. He was a medalist at the Universal Exhibitions of 1889 and 1900. He was named Chevalier of the Legion of Honor in 1900, then an officer in 1913.

    During the First World War, being too old to go to the front, he was commissioned by the Army Museum to bring back views of the battlefields. He is the painter of the first works of war entered into the Museum of the Army, relating to the arrival the images of the enemy in October 1914. He then was assigne...
