    Juan Antonio González Jiménez, a painter from Spain, settled in Paris in the second half of the 19th century. He was a disciple of the painter Rodríguez and furthered his studies in Paris with M. Pils. Specializing in casacons paintings, he was known for his personal chromatic delicacy, atmospheric sense, rigorous drawing, and attention to detail. González also excelled in painting flowers, portraits of majas, Spanish types, and fans. He participated in various exhibitions and was awarded a gold medal at the Provincial Exhibition of Cádiz in 1879. His works can be found in the Museum of Chiclana and in private collections nationally and internationally.
