Juan Vallejo de Lope was born in Burgos in 1949. From a very young age, he alternated his Baccalaureate and Pre-university classes with the need to paint, even with the most precarious means. His first exhibitions said a lot of fine woven arpilleras fabrics, for whose plots the burden of the texture held a number of informers of injustices. Already at that time of the decade of the sixties, Vallejo had been committed to the defense and vindication of democracy and public liberties.
