    Julius Hüther was born in Cannstatt, but moved with his parents to Munich in 1882. There he began to study at the Academy in 1900. His teachers were the historic painters Gabriel von Hackl and Ludwig von Löfftz. After completing his studies Hüther spent several years in Vezzano in Trentino, where he developed his own style of painting and especially painted landscapes.

    At the beginning of the First World War, he went back to Munich. There he created mainly depictions of nudes. In 1925 he became professor at the Munich Academy. Since 1910, Julius Hüther exhibited regularly at the Munich Glass Palace and the Secession. (fea)...
