Leng Jun (family name Leng) was born on July 15, 1963, in Dazhu County, Sichuan Province, China. His father was a ground staff member of the Air Force, and his mother was a Sichuan opera performer in her early years. Later, she followed her husband to Wuhan, where she became a homemaker.
